What an event, the sun is back and we think that the consensus between the participants is that they had a wonderful time.

Being uninhibited in driving your cherished car is definitely quite appealing. Traffic regulations are just for others, as you always wished they would be.The thrill of driving full speed through towns and cities, and being applauded in historic centres is really phenomenal. The sound of the engines is exciting; the cheer of the public carries you through the many hours of arduous driving.

You and your machine are the kings of the road! The caravan, comprising cars of members of the public, assistenza, race directors, media, pace cars, the police cars and motorcycles, technical support, medical cars, sponsors, friends of the MM and the “supercar” owners circle, is unstoppable.

For some, the many hours of sleep deprivation only add to the aura of the Mille Miglia rally. Driving is often over main roads through industrial areas. A pity, since Italy has so much scenic driving to offer.

The 38th edition of the Mille Miglia is certainly one to remember, in many ways. We got some very positive feedback about the way it was organised, especially with all the COVID restrictions. Will this set an example for other international car events? We are very curious to see how the next edition of the rally in Italy will be organised.

We would like to hear about your experience and/or opinion of the 38th edition of the Mille Miglia. Please comment below.
