We see Mr Sidney Edwin Vantreight and three beautiful ladies. After a bit of research, we found out this young man was born on the 25th of August 1885 in Victoria, the capital of British Columbia, which is also the place where the photograph was taken. In Beacon Hill Park in the year 1905 to be more precise. This 20-year-old fruit grower has three beautiful ladies in the back of his tourer. The woman on the left and right seem a lot older than the young lady in the middle. Unfortunately, we do not know who they are.
Can anyone tell us more about the three ladies but most of all about the PreWarCar we see in the photograph?

Mr. Vantreight was issued B.C. registration number 168 in July of 1908, likely for this car. There doesn't seem to be a record of an earlier registration for him. Perhaps he was the second owner of the car or perhaps he didn't register it until 1908. There were only about 100 cars in B.C. in 1906, so registration may not have been a priority.
This 1906 Russell belonged to Mr. Sydney Vantreight of Saanich, B.C., near Victoria. The Vantreight family had a very successful strawberry farm on the Saanich Peninsula. In later years they grew and sold daffodils. The car looks to be a four cylinder Model C. It has accessory headlights and windshield, and a curious object mounted on the left side of the dash - perhaps a horn? (Source: Saanich Archives)
