Mystery early chassis

Letters to the editor

Recently, I was able to purchase this early tube chassis. However, I have no idea about the brand and type,

I assume that the year of construction will be around 1902.

The bent tube under the engine is probably not original (judging by the welds).

The rear suspension is something specific, so it should be recognisable from that.

The grease nipples are from the brand 'Karé Paris '. But I suspect that these have been screwed in afterwards, given their very nice condition and the lack of old grease ...

The steps are original and the original colour was red, I am sure of that.

Perhaps users of the site will recognise this chassis.

My intention is to get it back on the road and preferably as original as possible.
So any info is welcome, as well as parts....

Thanks in advance for the trouble

I don't think it's a Cottereau with a V 2 engine.
To compare, a photo of a Cottereau engine mount.
