Mystery racer in Argentina

Letter to the editor

Please have a look at this photograph. It's very poor quality, yes, but I thought you might be interested. I do not have many details, only that the location is Mar del Plata, Argentina—nothing else.

I would love to hear from your readers what this racer might be.

Charles

It's a difficult if not impossible task to identify the racer. The car has chain drive and apparently also detachable rims, but not much more can be seen. The rear view doesn't help either. The other car is more clear, and must be a CGV or Charron from about 1906 to 1908.

Thanks, Charles, for an interesting photo! That building is really something! I think the car is American, but which make is probably impossible to identify. It is a large car, so guesses could be Cadillac, Hudson, and on and on...

If only PreWarCar had not printed its logo over the cars :(

Hopefully the editor is willing to remove the logo, so that we can actually see the cars ;-)
