Three weeks ago we showed a six in line mystery. The engine was quickly ID-ed as a rare french made Cime. This was again confirmed with the pictures above of the same exact engine mounted in a Derby K3 chassis. Vincent Chamont (organiser of the Vintage Revival Montlhéry) recognised the engine as such and asked Pierre et Michel Broual to send these pictures. In this case there is no dynastart but in stead a modern alternator). The same engine was also found on Serge Pozzoli well known Derby 6 cyl, that you put in your "What is it" quiz a few years ago. This breathtaking Supercruiser bodystyle cyclecar was sold two times in Rétromobile, first by Christies and later by Bonhams in 2007, then offered by a Dutch retailer. Nevertheless, it was not really a sporty engine. In fact most of these engines where fitted on touring cars, like Cottin Desgoutte, Turcat Méry and indeed Derby.
