This weekend, the famous Mahy Collection will show some of its cars at the car show Prewar Days in Kortrijk, Belgium.

Mahy Collection

The Mahy Collection is unprecedented in diversity and unique in the world!  Veteran, vintage and classic cars, film stars, trucks, buses, chassis, miniatures, pedal cars, bicycles, motorbikes, steam machines, carriages - basically everything relating to road transport since 1895 - is on show at Mahymobiles. Over 300 vehicles are on display. Each has a fascinating story or a special place in motoring history and everything exudes passion.

The cars on display at the show will be:

1. 1901 De Dion Bouton with body by Rothschild & Fils
2. 1914 Brasier with body by Gauthier
3. 1913 DFP Type E-M with body by Taurinya Frères of Perpignan
4. 1924 Delaunay-Belleville P4B with body by SPCA (Anciens Établissements Bargin et Beckerich) of Neuilly-Gennevilliers
5. 1932 MG J2
6. 1923 Chenard et Walker Type TT, a very important year for the company as it won the first Le Mans 24-hour race. Body of unknown origin.

At the show, it will be possible to purchase the beautiful photo book Mahy – A Family of Cars. This photo book gives a glimpse behind the scenes for the first time. Pictures of the most beautiful specimens from this ‘legendary’ collection of vintage cars together with their stories bring the legend back to life.

The photos put a spotlight on a hundred of these vintage cars and their histories, unadorned and with backlighting. Together with the story of Mahy, this is really A Family of Cars…
