PreWarCar of the Week: a 1933 MG F-Type Magna

This MG F-Type Magna was the first straight six-cylinder engine sportscar from Abingdon-on-Thames. It came with various body options. The matching number sportscar we see here is a rare Salonette, of which only 390 examples were made. Today, less than 10 Salonettes are still known to exist. The two-tone 1933 MG is fully restored in a period correct colour combination and has a beautiful olive green leather interior.

The right formula for pleasurable driving

With an undeniably smooth engine that had plenty of torque throughout the rev range and a competition derived gearbox that provided near perfect ratios, the combination afforded the right formula for pleasurable driving. This friendly looking car is in a wonderful condition and has until this point only driven 5884 miles. We do hope the lucky new owner of the MG will have a lot of pleasure driving it this Summer.

The car comes with the "Official Pass-out Voucher" dated the 9th of January 1932, the original brochure of "MG Magna Motoring" and a FIVA passport. You can start touring through Europe right away after you picked it up!
