The last chance to test your Tricycle or Quadracycle for the London to Brighton Run

We cannot look in your diary, but we know exactly what you have planned for the first weekend of November. On Saturday a day in London and on Sunday in Brighton for the famous London to Brighton Run. If you are one of those fanatics who participates on his or her Tricycle or Quadracycle, then we would like to ask you if you have already prepared and tested your vehicle and if you are ready for the big day? We ask you this question because there is a wonderful opportunity to test your vehicle(s) and have a really fun day (with the family).

On the 15th of September 2018, the Dion Bouton Club UK organises the fifth Trike/ Quad day, which will also this time take place at Barnards Farm. All Trikes and Quadracycle built before 1905 are allowed to participate. You can arrive any time after 10:30. At 11:30 there will be a compulsory track and race briefing (for riders, marshals, mechanics and photographers). All Trikes/ Quads will be scrutinised and a De Dion pattern handlebar make and break are compulsory. Crash helmets are obligatory.

The course will be open for practice from 11:45 and the first track event will be at 12:15. The essentials are; a practice session and two track sessions, before and after a light lunch. Which will be served at 13:00. As before there will be a relay race in which Trikes and Quads can take part. All in a very well organised but relaxed atmosphere.

The track has been changed since the spring to make viewing the events easier and better and a new track crossing point has been created for your pleasure and safety. The grit course is a shapely oval of 287 meters. Overtaking will be at your leisure and the racing is over 4 laps which is 1 kilometer (two laps for relay races). The starts will be standing starts by push, pedal or engine running. Three or four riders starting at the same time from different positions on the track.

We from PreWarCar.com are proud to tell you that also this time we will be the main sponsor of the event. And of course, we will be doing a live report of the day on both the website and our Facebook page. That is for if you do not have the possibility to come and watch the event in real life. But it is of course much more fun to come on the day to participate yourself or to watch this spectacle. Where the London to Brighton Run is in all likelihood if you participate on a Trike or Quad, more for you as an individual. On the 15th of September at Barnards Farm, is the perfect day out for the whole family. You can bring your children or grandchildren for a wander through the wonderful gardens, a picknick or a ride on the miniature train (runs at 13:00 and 13:30) and of course to watch the races. A super day for both young and old!
