Earlier this week we received a message from one of our Dutch readers, asking if we could help him find more information and/or photos of the Mercedes-Benz 540 Spezial Roadster pictured here in 2003.

He told us that in 1938 the Mercedes-Benz 540 Spezial Roadster was delivered to the Netherlands — it is possible that this was the car exhibited in the RAI Amsterdam that same year. The Spezial Roadster with the spare tyre in the trunk remained in the Netherlands until around 1952.
