One of the best events of the year will take place in the weekend of the 11th and 12th of May, 2019 on the banked circuit at Autodrome de Linas-Montlhéry; Vintage Revival Montlhéry! This event is the equivalent of Goodwood Revival but in the French style. So less commercial, easy going and open to everybody who is passionate about old cars.
The cars you see driving on the track are not your everyday cars, not even when you are into classic cars like most of us. You see it all, from a chain-driven Frazer Nash to a Bugatti T35 and from an Alfa Romeo 8C to a 350cc Micron Monocar. It is the whole ambience. When you arrive at the circuit, you have to drive under the banks to enter. Then you end up in a totally different world... With smiling people, the fume of fuel and lots of noise... WE LOVE IT!
On the grounds, there is an autojumble for pre-war parts. But actually, it is all about the main activity in which the fantastic cars and bikes play a leading role. Rows and rows of impressive vehicles. Halfway the field, the opening to the track is located. This is also where the PreWarCar.com stand will be situated. It is definitely worth paying a visit to the stand as you can see everything from our spot! Visitors can stand next to the start grid and can feel the excitement! The races itself are very spectacular. It is a bit like little flies against the wall. The curved banks are amazing! Even the end of the day puts a smile on your face when all the participants drive their PreWarCars back to their hotels. A long row of PreWarCars leave the fields and drive into the wide world!
Yes, we are definitely a huge fan of the event! We hope to see you all in May!
