In the picture, we see little Georgia. She is “driving” her father’s Austin 7 Special, which he loved dearly. This is the last picture she has of her in the car, as it was sold later that year. Georgia is now 26 years old and reached out to us with the question if we could help her find the car. She would like to get in touch with the current owner.
The chassis number of the car is 49985 and it was registered as DS 9954. Besides this, in 2008 the car was advertised at PreWarCar.com and was sold.
Of course, it could well have been that over the years some modifications have been made to the Austin or it is rebodied. But we know this not the case. When we did a quick search on the internet, we found some recent pictures of the car where it participated in various events. Among them Vintage Revival Monthléry. Some other footage we found on the worldwide web shows us the 747cc 1929 Austin 7 Special in action back in 2014. We assume the driver of the car in the video was also the owner at that time. But is it still in his possession?
Can anyone tell us more about the whereabouts of DS 9954 - this Austin 7 Special? Then we can try to bring Georgia in contact with the current owner. Please comment below or send an e-mail to office@prewarcar.com.
We are very close to solving this mystery!
