Where does this Indian come from?

We are getting more and more questions to identify mascots. A good reason for us to purchase a book, specifically about motoring mascots to add to the collection.

Not long after, a message came in from Jonathan Cutler with these pictures (click to enlarge). Also this time with the request for identification. So we started to look for Indian hood ornaments. We came across various zinc die cast, chrome- and copper-plated Indian heads from Pontiac. But besides these, we also found some in France made Indians (with Tomahawk) from the 1930s.

When we look at the third picture Jonathan sent us, we see there is an inscription on the back of the base which reads AGENCES CITR… (the last 3 (?) letters are missing). On the front, there is an inscription which says GALEY. This tells us a bit more and might help.

We know that some of our readers are experts in the field of mascots. Can you please take a look at the pictures? Is there anyone who can tell us more about this Indian (and where it comes from)?
