Fine 1938 Hudson sedan, but these gauges...!

John Leech is a NZ Hudson enthusiast by all means owning two prewar specimen. His '38 sedan looks fine, but read John's request. The problem is on the inside. "Hi ! this is my '38 Hudson 112 model 89 6 Cylinder side valve. If anyone has any information on the Gauges, senders  and receivers, I would be interested. At present I am working on a 1934 Hudson LU Deluxe 8 Cylinder side valve looking forward to getting it vined and  on the road.  Regards J B Leech."  I am sure we have a few readers out there who can help. That aside, John  did you ever consider to put up a (information) Wanted Advert?

Do you like to post your car, family or mystery photo?

For anybody wondering what 'vined' is it referrs to the vehicle identification number which is now reqwuired to be attached to all new registrations of cars in NZ including those older ones where the previous registration has lapsed. A new rule introduced in May 2011 allows those cars which previously carried a permananent silver on black plate - issued from 1964 on - to be reregistered with that number, rather than having to be fitted with a new black on white plate, as long as the number has not been taken up by a personalised plate. The new unofficial verb vinned or vined has come out of VIN.
