This Delage is a special sight; you don't often see them with the original Torpedo bodywork and the 820 x 120 beaded edge wheels.
This rare Delage DE has been in the Netherlands for more than 50 years.
In the 1970s and 1980s, it was restored by the well-known collector Mr. Smits, who had a passion for special French cars.
The car has been in the possession of the current owner since 2000, who has used it extensively in the Pionier Automobielen Club (PAC) in the Netherlands and abroad.
In recent years, the engine has been overhauled; the cylinder block was replaced with a new cast block, including new valves and piston rings.
The engine runs very smoothly again and starts very easily with the dyno start. The ignition has been converted to an electronic ignition with a separate coil.
The bodywork was built by J. Besset from Annonay (Ardèche, France), which seats 5 people. The convertible top is easy to open and close and is covered with a cover when open. The car is equipped with a double windshield, double spare wheels, shock absorbers, and a nicely fitted dashboard.
