About what is it? Quiz #471: 1914 Oryx

Last week`s quiz turned out to be very difficult for most of you. Even our very active quiz candidates who participate (almost) every week weren`t able to give a correct answer this time. "A tough cookie" as Fried Stol said. Nevertheless, there are two people who gave the correct answer.

The pre-war car on the photograph is no Horch or an NSU. The car is not an Opel as some of you guessed. If you have read the answers that were sent in, you would have noticed that there is only one make that we have not mentioned. Exactly! The car on the photograph is an Oryx! Well done Peter Larsson and Fendor!

This is "an Oryx Typ K2 7-21ps of 1914" as Fedor said correctly. He also told us that "the K2 series was produced by Oryx Motoren-Werke in Berlin from 1913 to 1914. This series in small quantities in 1913 was supplied to Russia". He even included a photograph of the car in I guess a magazine or newspaper (but unfortunately I cannot read it, as my Russian is not that good). This Oryx is currently in Sweden, the owner told us he has a lot of documentation with the car. Perhaps the most interesting is his fathers' correspondence, in the fifties, with Oryxconstructor Ingengör Kunze. The owner of this Oryx would like to know if there are any other pre-war Oryx cars still around. If there anyone who can answer this question? Please comment below.
