Three-wheeled cyclecars were even less popular in France than in England, and the only wholly home-grown product among them was the d’Yrsan. The d’Yrsan cyclecar was also the most sophisticated, using a 4-cylinder Ruby engine with a capacity of about 1 litre, three forward speeds, shaft drive and independent front suspension. Although heavier than tricycles of the Morgan type, a lowered racing model d’Yrsan could exceed 80mph. Some 4-wheeler d’Yrsan sports cars, also Ruby-engined, were listed from 1927 to 1930, and 3-wheeler were given up in 1928.
