The EMF was a slightly larger car than its companion make, the Flanders, both makes being marketed by Studebaker. Throughout its existence the EMF car used a 2.7-litre water-cooled, 4-cylinder engine. This was coupled with a 3-speed transmission and shaft drive. The wheelbase of the EMF car remained constant at 8ft 10in. Both EMF Runabout and EMF Touring models were built for sale in the range of $900 to $1100. The EMF name disappeared when Studebaker started to build as well as act as a selling organization.
