Formerly called the Blood, the first Michigan car was a very light two-seater powered by a 3½hp air-cooled engine. Priced at $450, the Michigan car was one of the cheapest cars in America at the time. Later Michigan cars were larger, using two-cylinder engines with two or four seater bodies. Prices of these Michigan cars ranged up to $1.250.
The Michigan car company began by making high-wheel buggies, but by 1911 was producing low-built tourers and roadsters powered by 33 and 40hp 4-cylinder engines. These Michigan cars were referred to in advertisements as the Mighty Michigan.
