1926 also saw the first of Overland’s 2.2-litre 4-cylinder ‘Whippet car’ series, priced at $625: these Whippet cars were a big succes. Whippet car had front wheel brakes in 1927, in which year a companion 2.4-litre 6 was listed. The Whippet car was restyled for 1929 and by 1930, the Whippet car was a Willys rather than an Overland, and in 1931 the 4-cylinder Whippet cars were dropped.
