The Atlas car for sale was a subsidiary venture of the Knox Motor Truck Co, headed by Harry A. Knox. All Atlas models, both 2- and 4-cylinder, were two-strokes. The Atlas was more successful as a taxi than as a private car, although one Atlas was entered in the 1909 Vanderbilt race. The design was replaced by the Atlas-Knight.
