The first Brouhot had a rear-mounted 2-cylinder horizontal engine, constant mesh gears (4-speeds), and spur gear transmission to the rear axle. For 1903 vertical engines and chain drive were adopted, the Brouhot models for sale being a 10hp twin, and 15 and 20hp fours. Later Brouhots were of thoroughly conventional design, with 4-cylinder T-head engines of 10 to 60hp. An 8hp twin was made up to 1906, in which year shaft drive appeared on the smaller Brouhot models. At least one Brouhot model was sold in England in 1908 under the name Club. The only break with tradition towards the end of the Brouhot’s life was the appearance of a 9hp car with belt drive, made from 1908 to 1910.
