The first cars made by the Crestmobile company were called simply Crest, and had a De Dion Bouton engine mounted in front of a straight dash, with no bonnet. Final drive was by single chain. By 1903 the engine was enclosed in a neat bonnet, and four-seaters Crestmobile cars were being made as well as two-seaters. The 1904 Crestmobile had an 8hp air-cooled engine of the Crestmobile company’s own manufacture, epicyclic gearbox, and shaft drive. The Crestmobile was sold in England by O’Halloran Brothers under the name OHB, the cheapet model costing only 100gns.
