William H. Little was a former Buick manager whom William C. Durant employed to build Little cars in the Flint Wagon Works which had formerly made the Whiting. The first Little car was a 4-cylinder 20hp two-seater roadster priced at $650. It was joined by a 6-cylinder touring Little car, the 3.6-litre Little Six, in 1914. This Little car was phased out the following year as it was too close in size and price to the Chevrolet Six, another Durant product. The Little car roadster’s styling influenced that of the Chevrolet Royal Mail roadster.
