The pre-war Philos car was made in one model using a 1.131cc 4-cylinder Ballot engine, but post-war 1 Philos cars, while of the same general size and price range, used a variety of engines by Altos, Ballot, Ruby and SCAP, ranging from 1.088cc to 1.775cc. All Philos cars were 4-cylinder units and the Philos cars were of conventional design, although a curved V-radiator gave the Philos cars a distinctive appearance.
