The Victoria company were manufacturers of bicycles and motor cycles who introduced their first Victoria car in 1900. This Victoria car was a single-cylinder voiturette, with either a 482cc, 4hp or a 596cc, 5hp engine. After 1905 two types Victoria cars were built with 2-cylinder engines of 804cc and 7hp, and 1.248cc and 10hp. During 1908-1909 a 4-cylinder Victoria car with a 2.680cc, 20hp engine completed the range. After 1909 Victoria cars again concentrated on their highly respected motor cycles.
Victoria did not take up Victoria car manufacture again until 1955 when they co-operated with another firm in the Bayerische Autowerke and produced the Spatz. During 1957-1958 this was marketed as the Victoria car. The post-war Victoria car was a small car with 250cc rear engine developing 14bhp. Since 1958 Victoria has produced only motor cycles, and today forms part of the Zweirad-Union.
This Victoria car was advertised locally and nationally from 1905 to 1907, but no details are available about this Victoria car. There is no known connection with the later Madrid-built Victoria car.
This Victoria car was an assembled car powered by a 10/12hp 4-cylinder Fafnir engine with overhead inlet valves. The Victoria car had shaft drive, and the side-entrance tourer which was apparently the only body style, cost £300.
Named in honour of Queen Victoria Eugenia of Spain, the Victoria car was a well-designed small car using a 950cc ohv 4-cylinder engine, and 4-wheel brakes. Touring and sports models Victoria cars were made, and these Victoria cars won many prizes in local races. About 1.000 Victoria cars were made. In 1922 the patents of the Victoria car were sold to Gwynne’s Engineering Co to become the basic of the Gwynne Eight.
