The Wayne classic car line included a many as five models in a single year. These Wayne classic cars ranged from two-seaters with 2-cylinder engines, to 50hp cars of 4-cylinders. The smaller Wayne classic cars used planetary transmissions, and the larger models Wayne classic cars had 3-speed, selective gearboxes. This Wayne classic car company was absorbed by the EMF Co in 1908.
The earliest model of this Wayne classic car make was a 2-cylinder, water-cooled runabout of 16hp. The later models Wayne classic cars were all powered by 4-cylinder, L-head engines. As late as 1910 one model Wayne classic car had a progressive transmission and an air-cooled 4-cylinder engine. The Wayne classic car manufacturer also made the Richmond.
