Flower parades have long been a celebration of the changing seasons, especially between the wars when people needed a party. The things that were available were flowers and cars, and this combination still attracts millions of people 80 years later.

Nowadays, the ‘Bloemencorso’ in The Netherlands, for instance, is a parade of beautifully decorated floats that completely conceal the vehicles beneath them.
