Possibly a Mass?

Letters to the editor

Hi - I bought a collection of negatives and this car seems to match the Mass on your website. Could you please verify for me? The envelope had the name George C. Douglas on it and the license plate is from Massachusetts 1943.

Thank you!

Is this also the 1906 Pierce Great Arrow? I see some similarities, but some differences as well. They're from a collection of negatives. Thank you!

Sorry, I expected other people to comment, because this one is common knowledge: it's a circa 1908 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost. The event is clearly a 1950s(?) antique car gathering somewhere in the USA.

No, it's not a Mass. That would have been a nice coincidence, a Mass in Massachussetts! I doubt, however, if a Mass has ever crossed the Atlantic Ocean towards the U.S.A. The car is in fact a real American car, i.e. a 1906 Pierce Great Arrow, almost identical to the uploaded photo.
