Mystery twin magneto cradle.

Hello, I’m looking for help to identify these castings that recently came into my possession. Very similar in principal to the arrangement on a Brescia Bugatti but very different in detail. Most likely to be mounted on the bulkhead and driven from the back of a single overhead camshaft engine from the vintage period…but which engine?

By measuring the shaft centres and the gear clearance in the casing you should be able to work out the number of cylinders of the engine it's for. The ratio looks like it might be more than the 2:1 you would need for a four-cylinder four-stroke driven from the camshaft.
The main casting has a foot at each corner. It looks like would be attached via these with vertical bolts/studs to a horizontal platform or brackets, etc., rather directly to a vertical bulkhead. The castings looks pretty heavy for Aero?
