Mystery Car from 1926 – can you help identify it?
A new week begins, and with it, a new Monday and a new mystery: Paul Hediger of Switzerland has graciously shared this photograph from 1926, capturing his grandfather proudly at the wheel of his automobile, surrounded by loved ones, all gathered in front of what appears to be their cherished home.
Paul is very interested in identifying the make and model of the car. Based on visual clues such as the round headlamps, distinctive spoked wheels, open touring body, and—most notably—the shape of the radiator and fenders, the car appears to be from the early 1920s. It could possibly be a Mercedes, Horch, Opel, or Steyr, all known for producing similar vehicles during that era.
Unfortunately, the image doesn’t show a clear badge, so we’re turning to you—the experts—for help.
Does anyone recognize this classic vehicle? Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
