Night-time spectacle in the Flemish Ardennes: the 100 Miles of Oudenaarde is just around the corner

This weekend, night rally enthusiasts are in for a treat once again. From Saturday evening at 7:30 pm, The 100 Miles of Oudenaarde gets underway — a night rally that has grown into a firm fixture on the calendar for pre-war automobiles. Forty carefully selected pre-war cars will line up at the start for a journey that promises to be as atmospheric as it is demanding.

The route takes competitors along the characteristic roads of the Flemish Ardennes and across the border into the rolling landscape of the Pays des Collines. Fast, flowing sections are interspersed with passages through towns and villages, specially illuminated for the occasion. It is precisely this combination of darkness, landscape and history that makes this rally so distinctive.

Spectators, too, can fully enjoy the event. The organisers have made an interactive route map available via My Maps. This map not only shows the complete route and city passages, but also highlights a selection of attractive viewing points along the course. This makes it easy for everyone to choose the perfect spot to cheer on the participants.

As is often the case with this event, a cold night is expected. Weather forecasts are favourable, however, with dry conditions currently anticipated. In other words: clear conditions that will contribute to a successful night rally for both participants and spectators alike.

The organisation looks forward to welcoming as many enthusiasts as possible along the route, while emphasising the importance of safety. Spectators are asked to remain in safe locations at all times, not to obstruct the road, and to ensure they are clearly visible. In this way, everyone — competitors and audience alike — can enjoy this moving heritage in action responsibly and to the fullest.

With its unique blend of pre-war engineering, nocturnal ambience and challenging roads, The 100 Miles of Oudenaarde once again promises to be a highlight of the international pre-war scene — an event perfectly aligned with the passion and heritage championed by PreWarCar.com.
