What a great New Year's picture! It was sent to us by one of our Italian friends on the 1st of January. Buon anno 2022!

Does anyone recognise the two men in the Amilcar? Did they have something to celebrate? Or could it be that the photo was taken to promote the bubbly drink in the bottles?

Who can help and tell us more about what we see in the photo?

The father of Petrus Grol Jr. owned the W.A.O.M. a wholesaler of auto parts. They were the exclusive importer of Ducellier in the Netherlands and had good contacts in France, as the photo proves!

Petrus Wilhelmus Grol Jr (born 1908) received this Amilcar CGS3 as a gift on his 20th birthday, bought new from Maatschappij Olanda in Bussum, the then importer of Itala and Amilcar.
