PreWar Days 2025: live photo report

With Christmas just around the corner and the local Sinterklaas festivities taking place this weekend, PreWar Days in Kortrijk, Belgium is the perfect show to pick up something special—whether for someone else or, of course, for yourself. And the energy is unmistakable: as soon as the doors opened on Friday morning, the venue was buzzing with activity.

Just like in previous editions, the bar once again forms the central hub, with all the stands arranged around it. Every visitor also receives a voucher for a St. Bernardus beer, which immediately adds to the atmosphere. From the very start, you can feel that everyone is excited for three days of pre-war motoring and everything that comes with it.

The show has grown again this year. In a slightly larger hall than last year, not only has the number of vehicles increased, but the quality as well. The London dealer Fiskens is present with an impressive Mercedes-Benz SSK and a beautiful Invicta Low Chassis. And the Dold family is here too, showcasing several stunning Bugattis and a Maserati.

Elsewhere on the show floor, we also came across some surprising highlights, such as the amazing Alphi, the beautiful Cord, Singer, display of Italian cars and a Bugatti 43 at Broad Arrow Auctions.

At the PreWarCar.com stand, visitors were dropping by all day to greet us, but mainly to catch a glimpse of the imposing Chenard-Walcker. What an attractive machine! The cheapest car of the show, a German Standard P203 from 1935, also drew plenty of attention—along with the spare parts carried on the back.

To stay in the Christmas spirit, we decorated a Christmas tree—but instead of ornaments, it features PreWarCar.com socks. One thing is clear: many pre-war enthusiasts won’t be driving with cold feet this winter.

PreWar Days runs until Sunday, 8 December. We will try to post another update later this weekend—though we naturally hope to meet you in person.

I am going to have to start flying over for some of these european events. We have Hershey of course, but to me, in my humble opinion, there is a lot more going on in europe for PWC's than the U.S.....especially in the winter! Bucket list time!
A Blessed Christmas to all!
