Santa’s little helpers

Oh yes, this picture, with its added snowy background and a digitally enhanced Christmas tree in that pick-up bed, is a total fake. We just couldn't resist doing it. But you must admit the 1931 Model A Ford suits the role of a tree hauler. The car is one of several lots offered by our friends at Sonicbidder.com at its Christmas Around the World sale on 8 December.

1931 Ford Model A

The Ford is said to have been purchased from a museum in Alabama, where it had been on display for several years. With just 4,330 miles showing on the clock, and the car running and driving, it looks just the job to pick up that tree right now. Click here to see more of it and make an offer if you like.

1936 Pierce-Arrow

And to stick to the Christmas theme: we can see Santa Claus driving this 1936 Pierce-Arrow with ample power from its 12-cylinder engine, off-white paint, whitewall tyres and wheels with green pinstriping and a tan leather interior with green carpets. Also look at that crystal eagle head ornament, gorgeous little clock for the rear passengers and a throttle pedal sufficient for a serious boot. Ho-ho-ho!
