Team Jarrott to return to Montlhéry in 2027

One of the more unusual sights at Montlhéry will return in 2027, when Team Jarrott brings its collection of early motor tricycles back to the historic French circuit.

The appearance forms part of the second Olympiad Meeting, scheduled for 7–10 May 2027. It follows Team Jarrott’s Olympic Cup Meeting at Montlhéry in 2024, when these pioneering machines took to the circuit as part of the wider event.

The organisers of the original Vintage Revival have since retired, but a new French team is preparing an event with a broadly similar theme. Following discussions between the organisers, circuit owners and Team Jarrott, an agreement has been reached for the British group to return.

Central to its programme will be the Olympic Cup contest, with qualifying and a race planned around the five-mile oval circuit at lunchtime each day. A separate 20-minute daily session is also expected to give entrants the opportunity to ride around the complete historic banked track.

Built primarily for speed and record-breaking, Montlhéry’s steep concrete banking provides an imposing setting for these lightweight machines from the earliest years of motoring. The contrast between their modest engines and the scale of the circuit should once again make Team Jarrott’s appearance one of the more distinctive elements of the meeting.

Owners interested in taking part are invited to contact Team Jarrott organiser Nick Pellett. A preliminary list of entrants is due to be submitted to the French organisers in November.

The second Olympiad Meeting will take place at Montlhéry from 7 to 10 May 2027.
