VCC of GB in the Somme

Letter to the editor

Mark Snowden has sent us a selection of photographs from the Veteran Car Club of Great Britain's 110th Anniversary Celebration Run, held in the Somme region of France.

The Somme is renowned for its vast First World War battlefields. Quiet cemeteries, imposing memorials and preserved trench systems bear witness to the devastating Battle of the Somme, while picturesque villages and rolling countryside provide a peaceful contrast.

Mark, driving a 1910 Renault said this is the perfect time of year for touring, with pleasant temperatures and before the height of the holiday season.
