Waking up from winter with a speedy sports-car for spring

Is it time to put that warm winter coat back in the attic already? Well, that depends pretty much on where in our world you live. As a matter of fact you may be just starting to think about getting it out again!

Where is this gentleman, with his fetching, low-slung little two-seater? We don’t know. The fact that it’s cold out there is about all we can make of it, with the man not just wearing a fur-lined overcoat, but also thick gloves and a fur hat. Somewhere in America or Canada? Probably, but not necessarily. It could be Scandinavia, eastern Europe, or even Russia. It;'s a pity we can’t see much of the number plate.

There seem to be a couple of clues, though, which might lead to the answer, but Google Image Search has been no help. The first clue the wooden house in the background with some attractive ornamental details possibly typical for a particular region, and the second, of course, is the car itself, which is pretty much in the centre of attention here. Who will be first to identify it?

A Regal Underslung? The photo was hardly taken in Scandinavia or eastern Europe, more likely in the United States or Canada.

Judging from the house, I'd guess it's the United States or Canada, perhaps in the mid-west but New England is also possible.

It's an early Regal Underslung—a 1911 to 1913 Model N? The location would be northern United States, maybe Wisconsin or Michigan. It's like the American Underslung but smaller.

It's clearly a circa 1911 Regal Model N Twenty roadster. Although the underslung Regal was also sold in Britain as the Seabrook R.M.C. and had some reputation there, the photo seems to be taken in the United States, or perhaps Canada, judging by the building style of the house.

It's a Regal car of circa 1910. The underslung chassis is the clue.
The location is possible Vermont or elsewhere in New England.

The car looks to be a Regal Underslung of circa 1912, which probably points to a North American location.
