Auto Carriers – hence AC – originally manufactured 3-wheeled vehicles followed by the AC Sociable. Four-wheeled vehicles were soon introduced, and the Company name was changed to AC Cars Ltd. The famous racing driver, S F Edge, guided the Company from 1921. The mainstay of the Company’s powerplants was the 6-cylinder, 2L OHC engine which was in continuous production from 1919 to 1963.
This example was owned by its previous owner for over 60 years and was toured extensively throughout Europe. Meticulously maintained mechanically, the car presents in ‘oily-rag’ condition, reflecting its long and distinguished life. A delight to drive and perfectly at home in modern traffic.
