This beautiful Riley 9 Merlin saloon has a desirable sunroof and is probably one of the best examples available, having been subject to an extensive restoration by Classic Motors of Wembury, Devon, between 2012-2014, including a full retrim in red leather, the quality of which is evident by the excellent overall condition it is still in today. The vendor bought it from a classic car dealer for £27,000 in 2017 and then spent a further £2,355 having the cylinder head overhauled, including the fitting of hardened valve seats for modern fuels. He has regularly enjoyed using it and has had it properly maintained by Blue Diamond Riley Services ever since his purchase. It has been sensibly fitted with LED uprated bulbs and has a current MOT until August 2026. It is supplied with a large history file of bills relating to its restoration and subsequent improvements and servicing, an original handbook, maintenance manual and spare parts catalogues.
