Alvis Speed Twenty-Five

Alvis Speed Twenty-Five 1937

A very fine Speed Twenty-Five featuring a 4-door Cross & Ellis 'Open Tourer' body mounted on a steel chassis. As far as can be seen, the bodywork is completely free of damage and underwent a full restoration in the past.
It is powered by the renowned 3,571 cc, water-cooled, inline-six engine.
The engine is equipped with three SU carburetors. It was fully overhauled some time ago, and the head gasket was replaced a few years back. All this work was carried out to a high, professional standard, and the vehicle remains in excellent condition.
Engine number: 14842 25.6; this is documented as matching the chassis number of this specific Alvis.
It features a 4-speed manual transmission driving the rear wheels. Notably for its model year, the gearbox is factory-equipped with synchromesh.
This Alvis is fitted with mechanically operated drum brakes on all four wheels.
The braking system is unassisted (non-servo). The handbrake operates mechanically on the rear wheels. The braking system is in good condition and has been well maintained in recent years.
The chassis and related mechanical components are—as far as can be observed—original and well-maintained, having undergone a complete overhaul in the past.
Equipped with a 12-volt electrical system and magneto ignition; the setup includes both a magneto and an electronic 123 ignition system.
The (original) paintwork is a two-tone blue solid color. The car was fully repainted in the past and remains in beautiful, well-maintained condition, showing only normal signs of use.
The fabric soft top is black. The vehicle also comes with a tonneau cover, also in black fabric; both are in good condition with normal signs of use.
The leather upholstery is light gray, and the seats are manually adjustable. The door panels are trimmed in light gray leather, complemented by a light gray carpet set. The entire interior was reupholstered some time ago and remains in beautiful, well-maintained condition.
The dashboard is entirely original and complete, featuring a full set of gauges.
The chrome trim is original and in good condition.
This Alvis Speed Twenty-Five Open Tourer comes with original documentation and various invoices. The vehicle underwent a full restoration and had since received comprehensive technical maintenance, servicing, and partial overhauls. All work was carried out to a high, professional standard.
The vehicle is in excellent condition, both mechanically and cosmetically, and has been well maintained since its restoration. Originally delivered new in England, this Alvis Speed Twenty-Five Open Tourer has been registered in the Netherlands since 2012. This Alvis comes with a FIVA Identity Card, number 050032, dated 3 September 2013.
